Sayler's Veterinary Rehabilitation
Sayler stayed restricted and I had swam her every other day but she needed to have the proper rehabilitation therapy from trained individuals. My hope at that point was to be able to cross the finish line and get her the therapy to complete her journey with less pain and better movement. After exploring various therapy centers and the treatment they offer, my goal was to take her to the TOPS Veterinary Rehabilitation Center at Grayslake, IL. because they are the pioneer in the field of veterinary rehabilitation and offer various types of therapy that produced excellent results. With thousands of dollars in her care, we did not have the financial means for the proper therapy, which led me to the idea of creating a foundation not just to finish Saylers journey but also to assist other people with pets who have similar problems. Before January 2004, Sayler has spent 3 different weeks between November and December 2003 at the rehab facility and the results where as we hoped they would be. I am very grateful to the staff at the TOPS Veterinary Rehab Center and for their dedication to all our children in fur coats.
Sayler and her favorite friend Bailey
Through all the surgeries, Sayler had remained a real trooper, kept her wonderful disposition and was a very happy dog. If it wasn’t for her age and having the temperament she did, I probably would not have taken her on this journey.
I truly believe God put Sayler in my life because he knew the extreme I would go to, to help and give her a chance at life.
